When you publish a document to iWork.com, people you invite can view and comment on the document using a Mac or Windows computer with a modern web browser.

To publish a spreadsheet on iWork.com, you must have an Apple ID and a Mail account, and you must be connected to the Internet.

To publish a spreadsheet on iWork.com:
  1. Open the spreadsheet you want to publish.

    If the spreadsheet is password-protected, its password protection is removed.

  2. Click iWork.com in the toolbar.

    If you have an Apple ID and a Mail account, and if you are connected to the Internet, go to step 5.

  3. To create an Apple ID, click Create New Account and follow the onscreen instructions.

    If you have a MobileMe or iTunes account, you already have an Apple ID.

  4. To create a Mail account, click Open Mail, enter the required information in the fields provided, and then click Create.

  5. Enter your Apple ID and password, and click Sign In.

    If you’ve forgotten your Apple ID or password, click Forgot Password and follow the onscreen instructions.

  6. In the To and Message fields, type the email addresses and a message for the people you want to have access to the spreadsheet.

    The Subject field text is automatically filled with your spreadsheet filename.

  7. To select the email address you wish to send your invitation from, click the From pop-up menu and select an email address option.

  8. If you want viewers to be allowed to leave comments on your published spreadsheet or to download your shared spreadsheet, select the checkboxes next to Leave Comments or “Download the document.”

  9. To set additional options, click Show Advanced and select the uploading and downloading options for your shared spreadsheet.

  10. Click Share.

    A copy of your spreadsheet is published to iWork.com. Invitations to view, leave comments and notes, and download your spreadsheet are emailed to your viewers.

When you publish to iWork.com, you can track the number of shared spreadsheets and their viewer comments. To monitor your published spreadsheets, open a Numbers document, choose Share > Show Shared Documents. If you’re not already logged in, choose Share > Sign In and then choose Share > Show Shared Documents.
