You can raise or lower text from its baseline to display it as a superscript or a subscript. Or if you prefer, you can raise or lower the text just a small amount from its baseline, incrementally.
First select the text that you want to change.
Choose Format > Font > Baseline > Subscript.
Choose Format > Font > Baseline > Superscript.
Choose Format > Font > Baseline > Raise.
Choose Format > Font > Baseline > Lower.
Choose Format > Font > Baseline > Use Default.
If you frequently use superscripts and subscripts as you type, you can add buttons to the toolbar so that you can create superscripts and subscripts at the click of a button. To learn how, see The Toolbar.
